Human Material Project

Human Material Project is an interactive index of materials and emotions. Formal definition of the materials stands in parallel to human-emotional traits and characters. ‏At this project we chose to examine 7 monochromatic materials from different states of matter and created 17 combinations between those materials. Each material was chosen to represent a human emotional trait and character. The combinations between them created new interesting connections, both in terms of meaning and visual. In the design process we chose, on one hand, to highlight the aspect of the experiment and laboratory visual by clean typography and monochromatic materials. On the other hand the human side of the project was represented by unexpected strong colors and visual images in parallel to human behavior.
